discernment sucks, discernment is scary, but discernment is important to think about. And this must be why confiding in someone is so important.

I wish my younger self knew there was nothing to be scared about; and that confiding in the right people will help her get out of that negative headspace/ spiritual attacks that were happening.

For all the catholic followers who are still here. Hi, I hope you’re well. I hope you made it to your destination. I hope you are fully alive and well! While I poured my heart and soul on these digital pages, I can safely say I reached a huge milestone and married the love of my life.

There are other roadblocks, of course, but my man popped the (BIG vocation) question during my grad school years💍 . We married in ✨ 2020 ✨ . Best decision of our lives.

I came back one more time just to give this life update, especially since a lot of my past posts were fearful, confused, and quite angsty, lol (definitely a recipe for disaster, a clear sign that the evil one was trying to make me miserable). God put the right spiritual guides in my life, including a catholic therapist who helps me through my past trauma. She helps me heal from warped catholic trauma that impacted areas of our marriage. So if you haven’t already, and are considering therapy, please please please please do. It will save your life, and potentially your engagement/ marriage/ whatever big decisions you have to make.

Thanks and God Bless. 💕 💗

“It’s a funny thing about comin’ home. Looks the same, smells the same, feels the same. You’ll realize what’s changed is you.”

— The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008)

“O Holy Spirit, Love of God,

who proceedest from the Almighty Father

and his most Blessed Son,

powerful Advocate, and sweetest Comforter,

infuse thy grace, and descend plentifully into my heart;

enlighten the dark corners of this neglected dwelling,

and scatter there thy cheerful beams;

dwell in that soul which longs to be thy temple;

water that barren soil, over-run with weeds and briars,

and lost for want of cultivating,

and make it fruitful with thy dew from Heaven.

Heal the lurking distempers of my inward man;

strike me through with the dart of thy love,

and kindle holy fires in my breast,

such as may flame out in a bright and devout zeal,

actuate and enliven the heavy mass,

burn up all the dross of sensual affections,

and diffusing themselves through every part,

possess and purify and warm

my whole spirit and soul and body.”

St. Augustine

“It’s weird to feel someone’s attention on you that way, like you’re the only thing in the world they’re listening to. Most of the time people are distracted, or just thinking about what they’re going to say next.”
